October 2024
We had a Planning Commission public meeting where they recommended approval of the annexation and rezone. Further edits are needed for our land use plan which we will present to the City Council in early 2025. After securing annexation and zoning approval, we will dive into planning and forecasting for the next stages of development.
September 2024
This past April, we engaged with our neighbors during a public meeting, and in September, we had the opportunity to present at a City Council work session. We’re excited to report that the City Council expressed enthusiastic support for our project and the annexation into the city! Looking ahead, we have a Planning Commission public meeting scheduled for mid-October, followed by another City Council hearing in November. Once these hearings are complete, the City Council will vote on the annexation, and we’re optimistic about a positive outcome. After securing annexation and zoning approval, we will dive into planning and forecasting for the next stages of development.
August 2024
Rob and Nathan attended the City Council workshop for Summit View’s annexation where we received overwhelming support from the council members for the project. This is great news as we move forward with the remaining city meetings we need to have before being cleared to start development.
July 2024
We are currently in the planning stages of this development, as the acreage still needs to be annexed into the City of Colorado Springs. Following a productive neighborhood meeting in April, we have made some alterations to our concept plan and are currently preparing for a City Council workshop to be held this Fall.
April 2024
Summit View, previously named Templeton Gap, is located among existing residential and commercial developments. It is in close proximity to several services, including restaurants, medical centers, parks, and storage units. The scope of this 35 acre SF residential development will include annexing and rezoning the land into the incorporated limits of Colorado Springs, allowing for greater unity and continuity in the neighborhood.
The community off Templeton Gap Road has officially been named Summit View so all future progress updates will use this name. We had our annexation meeting sponsored by us and are now expecting to begin the public hearings sponsored by the city. Once complete, we can move forward with obtaining permits. We anticipate horizontal construction to begin mid to late 2024.
